At 3:45 AM this upcoming morning we leave Pennsylvania for JFK airport, assuming the flight is not canceled because of Hurricane Earl.
We have 24 duffle bags packed with medications for the Haitian folks of St. Simon and Jude parish as well as anyone who gets in line to be seen. (Though the clinic is held in Fr. Andrew's parish, we see anyone regardless of religious affiliation of lack thereof.) We have been preparing for this trip for the past 6 or so months and it's hard to believe it is finally here.
Thank you all for the prayers and support and please do keep us in your prayers for another 7 days.
St. Joseph the Worker Parish here in Orefield will be having 24 hour adoration and prayer for the Haiti mission this upcoming week.
God bless you and thanks so much. Pictures and stories will follow!
